I’m not sure where this myth that Fernie use to be this perfect little place. With all white picket fences, and friendly people with a 0% crime rate. Fernie has always had its problems just like any city or town in the world. I’ve lived here my entire life, and its alway had its its problems with theft, drugs, domestic violence, and all the other everyday crimes. You’ll never bring Fernie back to "the way it was" because it was never like that before. I’m not sure if there is more or less crime than the pre 1997 days, but the town sure use to seem way more violent. Peace.

The IPCC has been infiltrated by horrible politics, bent on only one thing – transferring wealth. The real goal of Kyoto is to transfer money to third world countries in the form of imaginary CO2 credits.

The reality is the IPCC conclusions are constantly being challenged. When some IPCC scientists that have signed the document have asked to have their names removed, and some have quit the organization altogether one should start to some raise flags of one’s own. Especially when scientists left because they felt science was becoming political.

A recent article in the journal, Science, points how flawed the computer generated projections likely are, and more insidiously, how ad hoc they may be.

Real scientists ask questions, and are rarely willing to go on TV and make broad ranging statements. Scientists tend to be cautious and always re-evaluate the evidence.

    William Gray:
Gray acknowledges that we’ve had some warming the past 30 years. “I don’t question that,” he explains. “And humans might have caused a very slight amount of this warming. Very slight. But this warming trend is not going to keep on going. My belief is that three, four years from now, the globe will start to cool again, as it did from the middle ’40s to the middle ’70s.”

I tend to believe these scientists over people with no credibility like David Suzuki or Al Gore.

There will be no logging or snowmobiling if there is a Flathead park…. And there is no mining there now… not because of Wildsight…but because Bill Bennett heard the locals voices … and knows we don’t want a mine in the Flathead… Thank god we live in a sovern nation where we don’t have to listen to Corupt Globalists (UNESCO) and foreign funded Extreme Environmentalists (Wildsight,Sierra Club)

By the way. UNESCO was brought here by Wildsight. And one of Wildsights memebers testified to UNESCO that the Waterton-Glacier International Peace Park (FLATHEAD INCLUDED) needed to be designated a World Heritage Site in Danger durring a June 27 2009 session. When evaluating the imminent destruction of the Flathead due to snowmobile use and timber harvesting…. with whom did UNESCO consult? No body voted for these UNESCO memebers. UNESCO’s leadership has what directive or objectives? Who selects them, and what are the criteria? If governments are elected, and their bureaucrats can be trusted to choose UNESCO. Then why shouldn’t the government of BC select trustees to decide the future of Jumbo?

You call UNESCO a local decision? And you call Parks Canada a local decision? The "local decision" has already been made by our local MLA thanks.

SAY NO TO THE FLATHEAD PARK

Why is Wildsight so hypocritical… you want Jumbo to be a local decision… But when it comes to the Flathead you want it a federal or even a world decision. You guys are unbelievable. No wonder you’ve lost so much support in the valley. Total hypocrites …

Holy crap I didn’t read the "instructor course" part. At least you get a bus ride to the hill. Everyone else will be hitching. Which sounds like will be dramitically different this year. With a little spot set aside for pickup off the highway. People getting ticketed for stopping a vehilce on the highway.

National Park Feasibility Study—the first step towards creation of a new National Park or expansion of an existing park.

You confusing two ideas. Theres not wanting to talk about managing the Flathead. And then theres not wanting to talk about a Feasibility Study. Bill had always wanted to talk about managing the Flathead, and has had a part in managing the Flathead, the way he feels his constituents want it to be managed. Provincially, and not handing the keys over to Ontario. If the majority of people wanted to go ahead with the Feasibility Study, don’t you think NDP’s Troy Sebatian would of won the election? Or at least gave him a run for his money?

Bill Bennett has never said "no we don’t want to talk about it." At the All canidates Forum in Fernie. Bill Bennett even said that if 51% of residents wanted the park, then he’d support the park. He told Wildsight and the NDP to hold a referendum about the Flathead park. Guess what… They didn’t respond.. What it happening though is that Wildsight has endless amounts of foreign money to spend on media and advertisment. How are we suppose to compete with Wildsight getting our message around the world. We don’t have a multi-million dollar budget to work with like Wildsight. Maybe if we sold fear we would.

Wildsights bigger goal is collect more money from donators. They produce these anti hunting adds will cute little baby black bears why? To get more donation money from people. They sell fear. Thats what all large environmental groups do. Sell fear. Get donations. It reminds me of the Large Environmental groups protesting the seal hunt. They put a picture of a "white coat" seal pup, with huge puppy dog eyes, on a poster, and ask for donations. When the truth is they havn’t hunted baby white coats for 10-12 years. I would never be a part of anything any large, lying, fear selling environmental group does.
