June 16, 2009 at 1:09 am in reply to: MICKEY SLIM (IBIZA RESIDENT DJ) @ THE ROYAL friday june 19th #17180jenniferojennyParticipantTickets $10 in advance at FREYA. Receive a drink on the house with advanced ticket purchase.
jenniferojennyParticipantdude, some of my friends are coming in a toga.
jenniferojennyParticipantCheck out the links below for a sample of the music that’ll be played at the SnowBall this year:
MUSICAL TALENT:SOAP STAR:
MBF will be singing and playing bass and bringing a drummer and DJ Heebs. LIVE DRUM AND BASS. "Together these three gentlemen combine turntables and instruments, mash-ups and live vocals."http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?s … g4&u=-Nk1w
DJ VINYL RITCHIE:
One of my favorite sets at Shambhala ever was by Vinyl Ritchie in ’05. He played right after BC/DC – not an easy task – and he killed it. He plays everything from 50s remixes and 80s mash ups to heavy metal and hard rock. He’s one of the few DJs in the world who can mix on 45s!http://www.facebook.com/ext/share.php?s … BU&u=iRS_J
Local Band Pocket Rocket (Cam Labelle and the Soul Rockets) will be performing at 8:30pm so get there early!
Supported by the infamous Fernie Yacht Club. These guys know how to make you dance.
Everyone needs to come to thank the Griz for the awesome pow… and don’t forget to wear something white – anything at all. Wear a toga if you don’t have anything… this is going to be fun!!!
jenniferojennyParticipantwhoops…
It’s Saturday March 7th… This Saturday night.
Thanks!
jenniferojennyParticipantjenniferojennyParticipantI just wanted to add to my previous posting that the biodiesel that my friend produces is not the pure biodiesel that you can purchase from Agri-Green Biodiesel (thus the difference in price). When my friend isn’t producing his own biodiesel, he actually purchases it from Agri-Green. So we’re pretty lucky to have it so close…
jenniferojennyParticipantSometimes I wonder why I even read these forums. I’m actually embarrassed to live in the same town as the idiots who argue and name call through their computers, too afraid to use their real names. I say fuck the price of gasoline. If you don’t like it, do something about it and there are lots of alternatives. Most people are just too lazy to do anything and just complain. Stop complaining. Buy biodiesel. Get a hybrid car. Produce your own biodiesel. I have a friend in the Slocan Valley who makes his own biodiesel (french fry grease and methane) and can drive across Canada for less than $80. He is also looking into a type of algae to produce his own biodiesel that emits 0 emissions and is a totally renewable resource. This is what people do who don’t sit on their computers all day and night and argue about which country is the best. They get out there and make a difference. And could all of you fucking idiots stop telling people visiting from other countries to “go back to your own country” it’s getting old and it’s just not cool.
jenniferojennyParticipantI say the more contraversial the better. If you check out the Fernie Fix from last month, I wrote a letter to the editor with 3 topics that are on my mind at the moment. But please don’t be limited to these, be creative, and don’t forget about the Griz. Also, I’m not judging the letter, the people at the Fernie Fix have the final say.
It’s too bad that the mogul smoker has been “tainted,” as you say. I just don’t think that anyone has the guts.
jenniferojennyParticipantGavitron,
Shall I reserve your ticket for next year??
And special thanks goes out to my very tolerant neighbours (sorry I missed you in my last email!!) you were great and I appreciate everything you had to put up with.
Thanks again Fernie, and I’ll let you know when the photo’s will be posted onto the website (http://www.mogulsmoker.ca)…
