Laughing out loud to the point I damn near lost my voice, MOKE.

Enough with the negative, There are plans for a new golf course in Fernie. I am very pleased to see this town grow and prospor, even if the larger coorporations are moving in to help meet suply and demand issues.

I would love to see todays youth (even just a small percentage) continue to take part in learning any outdoor sport and activities.

Some of the most overweight and least physically active people can still kick ass on Tony Hawk video games eh.

To the future Tiger Woods mentoring youth, I say, I hope you are pleased with what Fernie has Become, when you have the oportunity to enjoy the priceless views of local landscapes from whatever course you enjoy the sport on.

PS. Always cary an extra pair of pants when out golfing kids. Just incase you get a hole in one eh.

Harmful, hard drug use is everybodys problem.

Miseducation has led to this. Hopefully education can aid in it’s recovery.

How many people really wanted to be “crack heads” in the first place? Probably none.
The problem is societies responsibility, we must all hope to have a hand in properly educating or medicating those in need.

Dont turn a blind eye or act as if it’s someone elses responsibility.

Some of the most successful people in the world have been so, along side their addictions.

I have noticed serious increases in hard users as well as I have aged. I have no need for such luxury as coke personaly. Nor would I want to try anything chemical.

IMO – If marijuana had been legalized back in 2001, the people whom are becoming societies problems, would have been treated into treatment programs, and monitored by now. I blame miseducating commercial and american based anti drug programs.

These people do need to help themselves. I hope proper civil conversation and science, can help.

I do not feel that a post such as this one could actually deserve a reply from myself, but when I see a thread with this much negativety and insult, the time is suddenly appropriate.

To the ignorant, shallow minded, upset person who started this thread I say, “Shame on You.” – The negativety you have used and tone itself is both uncivil and mostly moot point issues. The Golf course is probably profitting more since attitudes such as the poster of this thread have been away from the green.
Everything sucks, except for the groundskeeping crew who seem to keep everything running. Get a grip you moron.
That’s right, I think your a moron. If I was a mod for a forum such as this, your membership would have been revoked after your first reply.

I hope you are happy with the place you currently take vest, but something tells me you most likely don’t take an optomist view at much.

I don’t golf much, but I have never been made feel unwelcome at the Golf Course.
As far as a place to walk my dog. She may be spoiled, but she isn’t gonna be using such a beautiful place as her toilet.
“Whathasfernie become” – Needs to deal with the problems manifested from his childhood, through a state of redigression. But that’s what doctor Phil told me to say.

PS. If You think arguing via forum posts is going to create a possitive outcome, You, my aquantaince, aren’t living in the same planet as I.

    Grow up.
Bad Karma might cause you back spasms that will keep you from enjoying the next golf season.

I wish every local business a prosperous year. And I thank all of you that
have already said what I myself would have. IE ” Fernie IS STILL, and WILL continue to BE a GREAT place to Live Love, and Learn.

Please learn how to live and Love before bringing such bad vibes into Nate’s so far mostly possitive General Chat Forum.

I seriously like a good argument, but there is nothing to argue here folks. Just some Idiot spoutin from the Verbal Diareah orifice.
Shame on You “Whathasferniebecome” – Somewhere in Canada there is a village that’s missing an idiot. Sadley though, he won’t tell us his name. LOL
Cary on if you must but I don’t usually get much more pleasant that I am now. Just a warning. YOU MORON.

    Voting is good.
Marijuana is not a drug, which makes it Okay.
Low life individuals that spend their rent money on weed and munchies make me laugh……. Sorry I had to laugh cause a roof over my head is always better than a haze within.
    Once again, voting is good.
If you don’t vote or even go and spoil your ballet, your voice is not getting heard.

It is not a deciding factor at all, but if one party says we want to put money into healthcare and scientific research studies etc, and the other party’s say otherwise, I’m pretty sure our societies advancements can be, and should be considered a deciding factor for sure.

Recreational users of MJ are everywhere. Weeds just one a grammy, I beleive over a show called desperate house wives. – I guess your right about the entertaining coment Gravitron.

The fact is that many people have used natural substances such as marijuana and even Ibogaine, for illnesses such as cancer and aids, and even addictions and dependancies for other harder drugs.

The other fact is that prohibition has obviously gone too far. When I was in grade school in Fernie years ago, there was little mention of pot or weed being available on the school grounds. Yet today I hear kids as young as twelve are hooked on Crack or Meth. This is a reality and we are fortunate enough to live in a small enough community, where these kids and their issues can be healthily addresses through programs and councelling. Most people hear stories about young people on crack and the first thing they think is “What did the parents do or what do they think?” – Here lies the problem. Parents don’t think – “Go to school honey.” – “Did you take back that game to the video store?”
Parents don’t think or communicate like when I was young. They don’t act either. Ie when I was young and did something wrong I was made understand that what I did was not appropriate. My parents may have used physical language in dicipline when I was little, but I never recieved a “time out”. Somedays I wanted a time out from the likens eh.
I think parents today are afraid to punish their children, face it, kids know more than we do. You send your teenage son to his room without dinner and you got a certain department knocking at your door giving you shit.

The above text is merely my opinion of course, and I strongly encourage debate on this issue.

The fact is that 3 Canadian advocates for marijuana reform have been charged and possibly await the death penalty in the us. This group paid it’s taxes (Hundreds of thousands over 11 years time) and never once lied about it’s operations. The government excepted the money and prommissed changes in the legislation, yet those same politicians today are more concerned with “Gay mariage” and “Scandals”.
The environment is will be and has always been a platform issue.
Why don’t they hire David Suzuki to tell us what we can do? Why? – Greed and american influence.
The Liberals promissed us better healthcare. They should have mentioned that people would continue to die in waiting rooms while awaiting medical attention. They also should have mentioned that smaller areas would be drastically effected by medical care cut backs.
And Don’t get me started on Stephen Harper. IMO he only involves himself with politics cause the muppet show rejected his auditions. LOL
The government keeps throwing around the figure for possesion as well. What a Joke. They can’t decide between 20-26gr. What a stupid decision.
If you want to get pot off the streets, why not make it a definite noticeable figure such as three pounds. If you see someone walking around with three pounds I’m pretty sure they mean to traffic, if not, they’ve got some party I’m not invited too to get to.
Even four times the figure of 26gr. is enough for any politician to hide in his pockets unlike the rest of our poorly invested Tax dollars.

Thanks for the oportunity to vent. Im good at it. I think

Criminalize sugar as the gateway substance. enuff said. No?

The only reason I mentioned peace and the Ndp is cause the NDP seem to be the only party, showing a positive possible reform to Marijuana legislation. Also Layton seems to be the only one strongly acknowledging the Kyoto deal.

If you don’t vote at all I do consider you the people to blame when the fish are dead and the stars are a meer memory.

That’s right. Nates Pro Pot. Who would have known eh?
I believe in a utopia created through tourism and smartley managed resources.
Marijuana has yet to be proven as a harmful substance, and has shown many possitive advancements both with TCH production and with ailments.
Drugs are being prescribed everyday. When I have a headache I try water, then black coffee. If that doesn’t work I try acetaminophen or good ol MJ (depending on work schedule eh.)

To any of you question the meothod to my madness please feel free to PM or email me at canatedian@shaw.ca I’ll lead you into information about some of the saddest examples of the losing battle that is the “drug war”.
I promise I won’t start bashing the DARE program on this site, But have any of you seen that MADD comercial where the kids rolling papers start talking to him? Any recreational or medicinal MJ user is smarter than the concerned parents especially when they laugh saying things like, “My stuff must be shwag if that’s what it’s supposed to do.”

No wonder we have a leading cause for concern with younger users using harder drugs. We’re still not telling them the truth.
The Liberals and Conservatives would like to lock up drug users, while the NDP plans programs and treatment centres for those battling addiction.
The US has interveened once again.
The Grant Krieger story was a huge disapointment for the many steps ahead, Canadians needing Medical Marijuana, have proactively taken.

If eating Dandilions was my forte, I’m sure the government would be happy. I’d conserve revunues all summer so they could collect their share in spring.
To those of you partaking in the combination of recreation, and recreational use, I say, “Keep Fit and Have Fun.” – I borrowed the slogan. Seemed more fitting here LOL.

To those of you wanting to neh say do it here. Debates are always better with audience participaction.

    Some one keyed a car?
    Off with their fingers.
Kick the crap out of them and teach them some sence of respect for property. Then call the cops and let them know what you know so that, the criminal can somehow personally pay rather than offset insurance premiums and claim forms etc.
Keep an eye out for him and when you see him in his new car dint it good with a tire iron. LOL
Im JK about the tire iron. bricks are cheaper.
If people touch, take or, cause harm to a person or their property, they should be given a lesson IMO.

Glad to here your positive attitude.

But, you started a post, didn’t explain much, asked a couple questions, then you tell us you want to come back, maybe even purchase property.

I’m not looking for Bad news, I’d just like to know what kinda situation you were in.
    Where were you?
    What happened?
From the looks of your posts it seems you were possibly a random target of a drive by beating. Ive heard of this kind of thing before. Give us some details, maybe we can keep watch out for a certain style of vehicle.
As for media and city attention. Hell Yeah!! if there are people touring around in groups beating people up at random, more reason to cary a camera these days eh.

Acts of violence are not tolerated lightly by anyone. Anyone sane that is.

The funniest thing is that while he was refusing to leave and threatening his “Posse” he starts rapping off a bunch of local names.

Now his “posse”s been informed and is now, looking for him.
Some of his “Posse” doesn’t take well to young woman hitting punks bringing up their names to locals who know his friends more than he does.

I am not Anti tourist Nor am I pro Local. I just don’t like ignorant lil punks with mouths that try to make fools of their faces.

Violence doesn’t solve any problems, but it let us get to bed before 6am.

Again explain your own situation or event so that we can try and find out where things went wrong herb.

Also if you are coming to our comunity looking for a good time, I’m sure you’ll find it. If your driving araound looking for people to beat up, call me and i’ll give you the address of a few politicians and that lil jerk down the road.

Tell us in detail, cops will do very little and the city councils busy with enough neh saying and complaints.
    I own a baseball bat.
I’ve seen the Sopranos a couple times
Lets go make mincemeat out of some people.
    Just Kidding. Sheesh.
Ignorant pricks, punks and people are everwhere. Here’s what happened at my house this past friday.

Some pre New Years action happened at my house Friday night. Some kid visiting his family in the neigborhood decides to just walk into my house. “Hey hows it goin? My names Paul. Can I use your bathroom?”
My roomates had just returned from the bar and left the door unlocked.
So he uses the bathroom and has a seat on the sectional. Tells us his parents have lived here forever and that he knew the old resident. Bla Bla.
My roomate gets him a drink. My friend visiting happens to know this guy. All’s cool, for about five minutes.
“Can I smoke in your house?” – polite. I can deal with that right?
Then my roomate says “What’re you smokin?” – Honest question. We don’t want people over smoking Crack or Bannana peels right?
“I’ll smoke whatever I want in this place.” The lil punk starts Bippin. “I was in this house before you ever were and I will do what I want when I want.” Show me some respect.” “I’m a local and I’ll get my posse (Like his parents (and he’s white) were straight outta the ghetto) down here to level your house.”
    I LOST it.
I told him to show me some fuckin respect more than once, and told him to get out.
My roomate takes away his drink and tries to pursuade him with the Luie.
He’s not leavin, budging or shutting the fuck up.
“I make more money in a day than 3/4 s of the world population” type crap.
So we escort him out the door, physically and I throw him off the front porch. It’s 3:20 in the morning but I’m yelling at him to get off my property.
Then he touched my bosses trucks mirror. BIGGER mistake.
I kicked his ass literally off the driveway and grabbed a four by four post out the back off the truck. I wanted to send the lil idiot home crawlin with a face only a mother could love, but this time of year, and I don’t know this guy right? He could be like 17, and I could be charged with assualt on a minor.
So he goes away and I’m still chatting with a friend in town and my cousin on msn (telling them what this guy did)
About ten mins later he’s on the road in front out of my house threatening to throw a rock through my window.
My roomate is out on the road (dancing around like the Million Dollar Man) And I’m puttin on the steel toes. (It’s like 4 O’clock and I’m pissed).
The kid grabs his cell phone and calls his “Backup” “Possse”
“Shits goin down man get down here to help clean-up” meanwhile he’s running away from my roomates dance routine.
I’m laughing my head off on the porch and my other friends videotaping the whole “Return of the Disrespectfull Punk” Documentary.
His freind comes down the road a few minutes later and then (after hearing what the kid was doing) tells his buddy he’s on his own.
    The two kids leave.
Five minutes later ther’es a loud bang on the door. My roomates girlfriend comes out after going to bed when she first got home, goes to to the door right in between her boyfriend, and myself. The lil bastard threw punch and connected with my roomates girlfriend.
The one kid made it to his truck.
The other crawled home with a face only a mother could love.
I get back into the conversations with my friend and cuz, and it was like a bad Seinfeld episode “Who was he?” “Does he Know you?” and I kept replying, “He just walked in.”
Out on the street I can here my roomate saying, “He just walked in!”
I talked with my landlord who lives on the same street and I guess her husband went over and told the young guys parents that if any property gets damaged they will be reponsible for repairs, rent and utilities.
The parents claimed to not know the kids actions (walking into peoples houses without knocking), but say that the kid’s dealing with drug problems. Sure. Give drugs a bad name.
He told his parents he got beat up outside a bar cause he’s from another province.
    What a Crock eh?
Anger and Alcohol Attitude and Ignorance.
