ParticipantWe stayed at the Royal Playa del Carmen on the Mayan Riviera in Mexico in November. It’s expensive, but totally worth it. It’s an all inclusive resort, beach front but in town. When you’re on the resort you don’t feel like you’re in town, but when you walk out the front and go 2 blocks you’re in the main shopping part of town. As mentioned it is more expensive, but it’s adults only, has awesome restaurants (including a 24 hour lounge with snacks), 24 hour room service and the staff are genuinely happy to work there. It’s not a good place if your single and looking for a ‘vacation relationship’ because it’s mostly couples. We’ve been to Mexico 6 times and would definitely go back here.

ParticipantIt’s the City By-law Officer that fills them.

ParticipantWhy just on the trails? It’s all over the streets and sidewalks. The City of Fernie does have ‘doggie bags’ at the beginnings of most of the trails too (beside Rip N Richards, along the river heading into James Whyte Park, etc).

ParticipantThe Fernie Womens Centre will also take the baby clothing. They let parents with limited means go through them without charge.

ParticipantMy comment was directed to everyone. I live here – by no means can call myself a local as I was not born here and have been told on many occasions that I will never be a local, but everyone needs to change their attitudes. My husband was almost beat up by a ‘local’ who has lived here for 4 years when he was washing his hands in the bathroom in one of the bars (no reason whatsoever). Today I was given the finger twice by Albertans while I was stopped at a stop sign downtown. I agree that it is a two way street, and find it very sad how the people in this town, both ‘locals’, actual locals and visitors treat people. Whatever happened to what your mom told you to do “treat others how you want them to treat you”, saying “have a nice day”, a simple smile, or as I’ve seen so many times at the grocery store or gas station – not freaking out at the cashier. It’s common courtesy. We need to start being nicer to people. If it’s this bad now – what will it be like in 5 or 10 years?

ParticipantI think we all need to go back to kindergarten and learn how to play nice and respect each other.

ParticipantWe are across from Rotary Park, and now have had people littering, using our lawn as a toilet (animals in bad enough, but I’m referring to people) and now theft! Hopefully these people will get what’s coming to them!!!

ParticipantOh – is that what that whistling is??? We’re not close enough to feel it – and it isn’t that constant! We just notice it every once in a while which made me wonder if there are earthquakes here, or if our house isn’t structurally sound!

ParticipantWe did the convergence set up, and the blue and green were fine, but the red was over 2 inches off and we weren’t able to do it manually. It’s already been picked up – at least we don’t have to buy a new one already!!
angelap
ParticipantThe convergence / projection went on it and I’ve found a place that will come and do it.
I will be going to Calgary on April 5th if that helps.

ParticipantI actually saw his name and number on a billboard and called and left a message but never heard anything back. Anyone else??
