ParticipantYou may think you’re doing a good thing…trust me, you’re not. I don’t know how many times the Salvation Army has asked people not to pile stuff outside the store after hours, not to mention there are signs on the doors and windows asking people not to. Then this morning (Wed Aug 11)I see a pile of about 10 rain soaked, dirty old mattresses standing out there…where do you think they are going to put those in that small store? Now there will be about an hour’s worth of work to load that junk onto a truck and take it the dump where it should have gone in the first place. Use your head people….for large items, bring it by during store hours, and ask the ladies if they can use it. And don’t use the sidewalk as an after hours dump to get rid of useless garbage. People just astound me sometimes….
