I’m currently spending the season, until the end of April, in Fernie and I’m not working, just riding most days. During this time though I’m looking to get my Australian Electrical license certified and get my Canadian license, so once the season finishes I can look for work as an Electrician. I currently here on a Temporary Work Permit but seriously considering trying to get my residency if I can get my Canadian license.

If there are any Electricians in Fernie that could give me a days work here and there, I’m more than happy to work. I’m basically looking to gain some experience and see the differences in the two countries to help me in starting work here as an Electrician. I’m willing to work for a low hourly rate because I’m more wanting the experience then the money.

I’ve been an Electrician for almost 9 years back in Australia, 4 years as an Apprentice and 5 years qualified. I’ve worked in all areas, (Residential, Commercial and Industrial) but most of experience is in Commercial construction (Shopping Centres, Hospitals etc…) and Industrial construction (Iron ore and Gold mines, Conveyor belts, mills, crushers etc…). I stayed away from Residential back in Australia but I’m happy to gain experience in any areas over here.

As I’m not working while in Fernie, I’m happy to work anytime and I’m more than happy to work out of town if I can get transport there, as I don’t have a car at the moment. The only days I won’t work are Powder days because the number 1 thing for me until the end of April is riding pow :)

If anyone is interested, or knows of anybody who would be please email or call me.
