      The Canadian Avalanche Association is a not-for-profit, non-government organization that serves and supports the diverse community of professional avalanche operations in Canada. This job posting represents a rare and unique opportunity to make a significant contribution to the growth and development of the Canadian Avalanche Industry.
      Summary of Duties: Reporting to the Board, the Executive Director leads the CAA management team in developing operating strategies and plans to optimize the use of human, financial and other resources to achieve the goals of the CAA. The Executive Director interacts with members, clients, stakeholders and the public; supports and liaises with the Board; prepares annual budgets, work plans and reports; follows sound and sustainable business practices, manages and administrates systems and procedures; and conducts an ongoing scan for issues or opportunities relevant to the health and well being of the organization.

      Location: Revelstoke, British Columbia
      Salary: Commensurate with experience. Benefits package in place.

      Tenure: A full time position that is based in Revelstoke, B.C.

      Education:
      Bachelor’s Degree. Business management degree preferred. MBA desirable. In place of education, 5 years of equivalent experience and/or training may be considered.
      Experience with nongovernmental organizations pertaining to: Strategic Direction Financial Performance External and Internal Relations Written and Oral Communication (to large groups)
