Well, I did my duty as a proud Canadian and filled out the 2006 Census form to the letter. Only now I realize I have been duped by the country of my birth.
This outsourcing of private information collection to another country, especially the US who has no one’s interests in their agenda than their own, has got to be illegal.
I just can’t believe it!
I have seen the bully tactics used on my neighbour who wasn’t interested in filling out the form. They come to the door and tell you that you have broken the law by not providing the requested info.
Exactly whose laws are these?
This remiinds me of the way my people were treated by the Government of Canada after we came here trying to escape Stalin and his butchers bills in Russia. We would not swear fealty and fight for any government that decides to go to war. so they took our lands, our homesteads and our freedom. This is how a people become branded “Terrorists”. The US may be right about Canada becoming a breeding ground for “terror”. Any people who decide that their country is betraying them have the right to overthrow that governing body. We have seen this happen all over the world lately. Take the Ukraine for an example.
Now I’m not saying that we have a voice right now, far from it. Stephen Harper may be a good guy for all I know, but Stats Can is a lap dog organization with a US company holding the leash.
Who knows, maybe I’ll be taken off to jail for speaking my mind about all this. But speaking my mind is my right as a Canadian Citizen.
We should not be made to be afraid of our own people.
I feel mistrustful and outraged about this and all these other government scandals with politicians spending our money like they give away our freedom.
With absoltuely zero regard or respect.
I thank you “Canatdien”, for having the guts to let those of us who care in on the important info that the CBC does not.
