An approaching Pacific frontal system will track inland thursday and stall across the southern interior tonight. Heavy snow will begin this evening before changing to rain at lower elevations beginning Friday morning.

Snowfall with total amounts near 15 cm is expected near Fernie. With the Fernie Factor this could mean up to 50 cm at elevations.
