Red Mountain Resort announced this morning that their opening day has been postponed one week to Friday, December 14. The moist, warm weather system known as “The Pineapple Express” has affected most of the ski resorts in the lower half of BC and it has dampened Red’s efforts to open this weekend. General Manager, Erik Kalacis remarked “that the long range forecast is looking very promising with colder temperatures and frequent snowfall anticipated throughout next week. Red Mountain Resort will be hosting the grand opening of the new Silverlode chairlift on opening day. The lift aligns to access new beginner and intermediate terrain at the base of Granite Mountain.

Red’s ticket office will be open this Saturday and Sunday from 10am – 2pm for season pass pickup. For further information about Red’s opening day and upcoming events planned for the season visit www.redresort.com or call 1-800-663-0105.
