GearHub Sports and the Fernie Trails Alliance (FTA) have officially relaunched their popular Volunteer Recognition Program for another season—this time with even more perks for those giving back to the trails.
Designed to reward the volunteers who maintain and enhance Fernie’s world-class trail network, the program offers discounts on gear, service, and rentals at GearHub Sports in exchange for logged volunteer hours with the FTA.
From trail maintenance and event support to special projects, every hour spent volunteering earns participants meaningful savings—and a deeper connection to Fernie’s outdoor community.
“The Fernie Trails Alliance relies on the dedication of our volunteers,” said Ben Martin, FTA Trails Manager. “They’re the reason our trail systems continue to thrive. This program is our way of saying thank you and encouraging more people to get involved.”

How It Works:
• Sign up to volunteer with the FTA
• Log your hours
• Earn discounts at GearHub Sports
Volunteers of all skill levels are welcome. Whether you’re experienced with a Pulaski or just looking to lend a hand at an upcoming event, the FTA is always looking for support. Trail days and volunteer opportunities are posted on their website and social channels.
“Community is at the heart of everything we do—on the trails and in the shop,” said Mark Hall, GearHub Sports. “We’re proud to partner with the FTA and support the people who make Fernie such a special place to ride, explore, and live.”
So grab a shovel, join a trail crew, and enjoy the rewards—on and off the trail.
