The Fall Fair, organized by Wildsight Elk Valley, is back again for another year of
homesteading excellence. The Fernie Fall Fair is a grassroots public event that encourages people to bridge rural and urban living through enjoying locally grown food.

On September 10th 2023, during the Fernie Mountain Market between 10:00 am and 2:00 pm, the Blue Ribbon competition will take place at the Rotary Park’s Gazebo as part of the Chautauqua festivities.

It is Wildsight’s goal to showcase healthy, farmstead living and promote the importance and achievability of sustainable food production in the Elk Valley. The main event features a Blue Ribbon competition with over 21 categories in Horticulture, Preserves and Baking to choose from, a Cake Walk fundraiser and a Pie Auction.

By teaming up with the Mountain Market, it is guaranteed that fresh produce will also be available along with local artisans and their variety of crafts.

Wildsight is currently looking for volunteers to help with this major community event. Interested parties can sign up for a short shift online here.
