“Fernie Brewing Co. and its popular, small-town name place may be a far cry from BC’s coastal craft beer hub(s), but when it comes to beer, they’re as passionate as the rest.”

At the Canadian Brewing Awards that took place over the weekend, Fernie Brewing took home two silver medals for their most popular seasonal products. The Sap Sucker followed up a 2011 Gold Medal win with a silver this year in the Honey/Maple category. The Pumpkin Head Brown Ale also gained a silver in the Fruit Beer category. This fall it will return for its 4th season.

This is not all the awards Fernie Brewing has received this year. The newest can addition to the product line, Project 9 Pils, earned the People’s Choice Award at the Okanagan Fest of Ale at its festival debut. It also received silver at the Calgary BeerFest.

This summer, enjoy a pint of your favourite Fernie brew at numerous locations in and around town. Or perhaps sign up for a brewery tour to heighten your beer expertise.

Fernie Brewing Co has kicked into Summer Operating Hours. Until the end of August, FBC’s Storefront will be open Monday – Friday 9am – 6pm and Saturday 11am – 5pm, for tours, samplers, growlers, merchandise and general good beer cheer.
