Beginning on April 8, the church bell in Fernie rang every Wednesday evening at 7 pm during the COVID-19 outbreak.
Health care workers, first responders, small business operators, delivery truck drivers, and other essential workers were thanked each Wednesday for their efforts and sacrifices.
The gentle evening sounds assured families and citizens to be kind and for everyone to prioritize their health, safety and well-being.
Thank you Fernie for being calm, kind and listening to Dr. Bonnie Henry, now Fernie is reopening.
