This week in Fernie features numerous community sporting events!

1. Project 9 Race
Weather permitting, get in your biking fix with a fun race Tuesday evening on Project 9. Registration is at 6pm with race start at 7pm. It is laid back race with refreshments at the end, and after party at the Kodiak Lounge.

2. Fernie Kid’s Triathlon
The fourth annual Kid’s Triathlon takes place this Saturday at the Fernie Aquatic Centre. Its a great event for kids aged 4 – 15, and fun to spectate for the whole family. Registration is now open online.

3. Annual Terry Fox Run
A run for a great cause, this year offers the choice of a 1km, 5km or 10km route. Register at the Aquatic Centre at 10:30, and race at 11! Pledges can be made online.

4. Fernie Flyers Cross Series
A great family bike event on this Sunday. On a 1km route, the lap can be completed as many times as desired in a half hour period. Event is free and welcomes all ages! Meet at the Fernie Aquatic Centre and enjoy a leisurely ride with other families.

5. Honey in the Jar concert
The Arts Station hosts Honey in the Jar this Thursday. The two set performance will feature the three band members performing solo and together in various genres such as folk, country and soul. Tickets are available online, at The Arts Station, Carosella and Freshies. A great evening of live entertainment!
