The Fernie Half Marathon/3-Runner Relay is a 21 km run through the extensive trail system in Fernie, B.C. The trails follow along the Elk River, across the foot of Mount Fernie, along wooded areas in Coal Creek and through Fernie’s beautiful James White Park.
Registration is being processed through Zone4, a Canmore web-based registration company. Please click on the Registration Button at the top of the Home Page and follow their simplified registration and payment process.
The run starts and finishes in Fernie’s Annex Park which is located along the Elk River a few blocks off Highway #3. The run starts at 10 am and the event continues through the morning with awards set for 1 pm in the park.
Awards will be given to the top three finishers in the Women and Men Solo categories and the top finishers in the Female Team, Male Team, Mixed Team and Student Team categories.
The run offers chip timing, services provided by Winning Time of Calgary, Alberta. New for 2011 will be chipped transition times to give runners an accurate time of their splits and times for each member of 3-Runner Teams. The FHM uses disposable chips so there is no need to return your devices.
Services at the start area include Breakfast and Lunch concessions, T-shirt sales, Port-a-potties, Warming and Storage tents plus music and ongoing Results announcements.
Sorry we are unable to accommodate Walkers for the full 21 km but are invited to do a 10 km Loop which starts and finishes in the same location as the main race. See Maps for details of the 10 km Loop.
