The FMBC is partnering with IMBA for the International Take a Kid Mountain Biking Day.

There will be fun family social rides meeting at the Fernie Bike Park and multiple rides to choose from depending on skill level.

All of the rides will finish at the grand opening of the Max Turk Soccer Fields where the celebrations will include Bouncy tents, fun games and a BBQ from 3pm to 4pm.

All kids must be accompanied by an adult on the ride.

Easy Ride
Coal Creek Heritage Trail crossing Coal Creek Rd to the Old Barn. Along Coal Creek crossing Pine Ave, under train tracks to the Dike Trail, crossing Park ave. into James White park. Along the dike trail in James White (Trans Canada Trail) to the Max Turk Soccer Fields.

Moderate Ride
Shuttle to the top of Whats Up Doc, Down Whats Up Doc and Cemetery Bi-Pass, along Old Dump rd to Coal Creek Heritage Trail. Cross Coal Creek Rd to the old barn and follow easy ride directions to Max Turk Soccer Fields.

Advanced Ride
Up Cemetery Bi-Pass, Kiddy Up, Queen V, down Eco-Terrorist to whats Up Doc and follow directions for moderate and easy rides.

For the Moderate ride, the shuttle will have a large trailer for bikes and a few shuttle vehicles (2 mini vans) available. Space will be limited.
