Seeking volunteers to help combat the spread of noxious weeds in the Mt. Broadwood area. Join us and learn about invasive plants found in the area, how to treat them and how to prevent their spread.
This year’s weed pull will occur in the sensitive riparian area along both sides of Lodgepole Creek. With your help, we can control the spread of Spotted knapweed along Lodgepole Creek. Your participation in this event will help contribute to the stewardship of the Elk Valley Heritage Conservation Area in order to conserve the recreational values we all enjoy.
The pull will take place from 10am to noon, followed by a free BBQ.
What to bring: Gloves and adequate sun protection. Bottled water will be made available, but please bring your own personal supply in case we run out.
