The Fun Field Festival returns in 2025 with a new location South of Fernie in beautiful Wardner.
This year includes Friday night with a Battle of the Jam Bands and a chilled Sunday with yoga/sound meditation & Ecstatic Dance to the FUN.
Friday Night: Battle of the Jam Bands
The weekend kicks off Friday evening from 6–11 PM with the Battle of the Jam Bands, hosted by local favorite Top’O. Musicians from across the Elk Valley—Fernie, Sparwood, Elkford, Jaffray, and Cranbrook—will take the stage in a friendly competition of grooves and improvisation. Festivalgoers are encouraged to cheer loudly and vote for their favorite band to help crown the regional jam champions.

Saturday: Parades, Puppets, and Nonstop Music
Saturday morning begins with breakfast and spectacle. At 11:30 AM, The Bohemian Misfits will assemble a 16-foot elephant puppet on site, and at 12:30 PM, the giant puppet will lead a circus-themed parade complete with six roaming performers.
From 1 PM to midnight, the main stage comes alive with a rotating lineup of live bands and performers, while families can enjoy kids’ activities from 1–6 PM, including:
• Pony rides
• Face painting
• Sand sculpting
• Sing-alongs
•Race games
•Grasshopper bingo
A lively vendor market, local food trucks, and the GrassHopBar beverage garden will be open throughout the day, and pancake breakfasts with eggs and sausages are served Saturday and Sunday from 9–11 AM for just $10.
Sunday: Relax, Revive, Restore
After two days of fun, Sunday offers a more tranquil vibe. From 10 AM to 2 PM, enjoy a day of relaxation and rejuvenation with:
• Live-beat yoga sessions
• Finnish wood sauna
• Massage and reiki
• Ecstatic dance
There will also be art installations including Sand Sculpting and an interactive ribbon mural, LOTS of kids activities including Pony Rides, crafts, music & forest school activities AND adults games, crafts, scavenger hunt and lots lots more!
