The Safe Homes provides free, confidential services to Elk Valley women and children in matters of domestic violence. Need often outpaces funding for this organization and these funds together with provincial funding will be used for operating expenses in maintaining Elk Valley Safes Homes and Kids Count Too Program.
In the last year, Elk Valley Safe Homes has provided over 1470 shelter nights to women and their children fleeing domestic violence. A total of 156 women and children have received support during that time.
