Celebrate BC Trails Day and Make a Difference Week by giving back to the trails we love with a Community Invasive Plant Pull!

The East Kootenay Invasive Species Council teaming up with the Fernie Trails Alliance to tackle invasive plants in the Fernie area.

Meet at the Aquatic Centre, carpool out to Mt. Fernie to pull along the Fernie Valley Pathway, and provide groups with photo references to help ID target species.

Get ready for a fun intro session covering common local invasives, their “red flags,” and best management practices – plus a warm-up with the “From Here or Away?” game!

All supplies provided, including:

– Garbage bags
– Hand tools
– Snacks
