Celebrating the creativity diversity and independence of the Canadian Film Industry with 3 days of screenings, shorts, special guests, children’s programming and special receptions. Join us at the historic Vogue Theatre – beautifully restored and updated as a home for film in Fernie.

NEW for 2019! Beer, wine & cider cash bar will be available for the entire film festival weekend. Bar open 45 minutes prior to film screening times inside the theatre. Cash only – change appreciated!

The Reel Canadian Film Festival features an eclectic and engaging mix of the year’s best features including Indigenous productions, French-language features, comedy, drama and documentary features plus short from across the country. Each year, the opening reception welcomes special guests for an in-depth look into their latest productions.

All events are at the Vogue Theatre, 321 2nd Avenue, except where noted.
Cash bar available in the theatre 45 minutes prior to all feature film screenings.

9PM: Short Film: The Uncertainty Machine, followed by CLARA

SUNDAY 27TH
5PM: Short Film: Bait! followed by THE WOMAN WHO LOVES GIRAFFES
6:30PM: Closing Reception in the Vogue Theatre Arcade
7:30PM: Short Films: Cryptic Hive and Jupiter (Any Other Way), followed by: LA DISPARITION DES LUCIOLES (THE FIREFLIES ARE GONE)
