There’s tonnes of Aussies here in Whistler too. I don’t think it’s just Fernie…I think it’s Canada. And all the ones I have met are really friendly too…

Anyway, you could always hitch. I heard there’s a bridge where everyone thumbs rides, and it’s never more than a five minute wait.
I’ve never lived in Fernie, and I don’t right now, so I’m not an authority though…I am looking at Fernie for next year, so your question concerns me too. I hope there is a really cheap, reliable way to get to the hill.
