Thanks for the response and I’m sorry you find so much to be negative about . Once again if you were from a town where there are no jobs, buisinesses just close and do not open, houses are empty because they are abandoned with no hope of selling them and there are no new developements you might look at things here diffrently. I think there are lots of high paying jobs here in fact thats why I work here . I think your exagerating a bit on the one house per block being occupied but like you say its a free country so if someone buys a house on speculation you can have the last laugh knowing someone lost money when real estate prices drop. Maybe instead of selling at a loss they will move to town and be your neighbour. Whenever someone asks me why I want to live , work and raise my family in Fernie , I tell them that every year people who travel that could choose anywhere in world to go thousands of them choose to come here .There must be something good about this place. Hey look outside , it’s snowing again . Anyway keep up the fight for access to public land and keep on biking.
