New Golf Course in Fernie?

There is going to be a new golf course in Fernie.
It’s going to be in Cokato Road, by the Fernie Mobile Home Park.
There already moving and demolishing stuff so there could be one
(including Randy Camerons Cement Plant , and Nat Pat Recycling which is already closed)

Its expected to be finished by 2008.
I hope its good.

This golf course has been on the books for years. Brushcutting started a couple of months back, and yes, the proposed finish date is 2008, but at one point it was 2006, so let’s just wait and see eh?
Golf course, fine. Yet more high end houses that will be occupied on weekends and owned by rich out of towners, not so fine.
Is there a developer out there who will take up the challenge to build affordable housing?

Everybody is about get rid of the old and get with the new…. I actually agree with this theory when it comes to the old golf course. Maybe now they will have to bump up their service levels and make some positive changes down there.
