Participantputting out a request to dog owners who walk the trails along the river to please make more of an effort to clean up after your dog. it is not an appealing sight to see it every few feet along the trail.

Participantagreed! Barkside Pets sell biodegradable poo bags, environmentally friendly and less bulky than a plastic shopping bag! there are no excuses to not pick up your dog’s poo from the trail!

ParticipantWhy just on the trails? It’s all over the streets and sidewalks. The City of Fernie does have ‘doggie bags’ at the beginnings of most of the trails too (beside Rip N Richards, along the river heading into James Whyte Park, etc).

Participantthe dispensers have been empty for a while, I am trying to contact whoever is responsible for them.
maybe it’s because the snow is too deep by the garbage cans! -
