International Rugby – Will anywhere in fernie have it on??

OK, so i know this is a bit of a random one! but i was hoping to be able to watch the England v France rugby match on Feb 13. I know that Canada has a large French community, all be it on the other side of the country, and was wondering if anywhere would be showing the game. Another thing that doesnt help is that it starts at 3pm in England, which i think is 8am in Fernie!

any help would be greatly appreciated

Ha…I was just wondering the same thing so I did a bit of research. Luck is on our side….the local cable tv provider is giving everyone free channels to sample and one of those channels is TV5 Quebec which is showing SOME of the games!!!! TV5 is on channel 53 here….there’s one catch though…it’s in French!! J’espere que les frogs, les gallois, l’ecosse, les irlandais et les italiens batte les roastbeefs!!!

I’m going to get them to put it on tele at the Slopeside Cafe up at the resort…..Fr vs Scot is on at 9am Sat.

good work fella! i’ll be getting to fernie this week so my first game will be the england france one. i’ll find the slope side cafe and be there for kick off. i’l be the one in the lions top shouting at the telly!!

I went there today…it wasn’t on! But then checked out the tv in the daylodge and changed the channel….and there it was!!!

So you’ll be in a Lions top eh……..well, I won’t be sitting next to you hahaha. See u there!!
