The tax on alcoholic beverages will drop by three per cent because a special 10 per cent provincial tax drops to seven per cent in the shift to the HST. Gp figure.

Mikes, why do you define beer belly’s as being "bad"?
Beer Belly’s are a symbol of success, security, comfort, prosperity and power! Take notice of our councilors, directors, resort managers, accountants, lawyers, developers, etc… who boastfully don beer belly’s.
May they and many others thrive with our new HST tax!!

So…
cheaper for beer to get me a beer belly. (and the health risks related with it)
more expensive for me to stay fit with tax on fitness related services and items, and cycling – http://www.nofitnesstax.ca/but its all ok because the HST is going to help fund healthcare. phew!

1. I’m sure your HST credit you’ll be recieving every three months will more than compensate for the extra tax you’ll be paying.
2. You don’t pay for healthcare anyways. I pay for your healthcare!

You know what would be great… If my tax return came back in fluid ounces!
