early season secrets

I am booked to fernie for Dec 11 and watching the snow report everyday..I was in fernie dec 05, 1998 with incredible early season conditions. It was pow every day for a week. Was hoping to recreate a memory but I think I’m still dreaming. Who can tell me where the best early snow collects just in case there are some bare spots come opening day. I am praying to the snow gods.
