The US government is now prohibited by law from purchasing crude produced in Alberta’s oil sands. California is making a similar pronouncement and a green Democratic government will likely push this policy further.
Why?
Alberta’s tarry muck produces three times the emissions to produce as conventional crude.
Dirty money?

Thats been announced for awhile. What has JUST been announced is that the US Gov has just nodded its head head and classified it as “Crude” and is now in agreement with the oil companies. Seen it on the CBC!!
