Calgary to Fernie with lots of stuff

Hi,

We are a family of three moving to Fernie in October, we are coming from the UK and will have quite a lot of bags, bikes, snowboards etc.

We are trying to find out what options there are and wanted to see if anyone could point us in the right direction of anyone who may be able to help at a reasonable price. Are there any local couriers who do that journey regularly or any people who go to up to Calgary and have space to take things in exchange for payment?

Any advice would be really appreciated.

Transportation between Calgary and Fernie is quite limited. There is a daily Greyhound bus however I suspect that you might be exceeding their luggage limit.

Your best option might be to hire a cargo van from a rental agency.

We have already looked into the hire car (one way option), can’t find any that will do this and U Haul vans etc and all too expensive, so we are looking for an alternative option?

Rachel, when are you arriving in Calgary? How many people, boxes, and bikes? I’m back and forth occasionally with a large vehicle.
