BC Education is crippled by the unions.
Until the teachers unions are broken, there will be no hope for education.
Teachers should be treated as professionals rather than trades workers.
Principals should be able to hire and fire teachers based on how good they are.
In BC the salary increase the teachers union is demanding is uncaring of the school system.
Over 50% of the teachers under 40 do not support the union.
Down with the teachers union, lets support our children!!

64% of BC residents do not approve of the strike. We see the greed and selfishness of the union. Down with the union!!

Unions are key in helping members stay safe, healthy and employed so they can retain their dignity and remain economically self-sufficient.
Principals are promoted union teachers that spent their career teaching in the classroom.
It is more likely the majority of teachers, the students and the rest of the public are in favour of unions and what they do for the working people.
My vote is for the teachers and their union.
United we stand.

The teachers’ union doesn’t live in the real world. Some of the items on their laundry list of demands include 26 weeks of paid compassionate leave and two weeks paid leave for the death of ‘any friend.’
Talk about excessive demands. In no other profession would it be considered reasonable to take 26 paid weeks off to care for anyone. What makes teachers so special?
Sure, teachers play an important role in society, but so do many other professions. The reality is that lots of people want to be teachers, way more than there are available jobs.
Teaching is already a good gig, yet the unions want even more benefits and perks despite the fact that there are tons of bright, eager teacher college grads out there who’d take the job without those 26 weeks of paid compassionate leave. The unions want more benefits, but oppose anything that would measure teacher performance.
In most jobs, if you want a raise or more benefits, you earn it.
Teachers unions may have a strong negotiating power, but they have a weak negotiating position.
