Dear Local Yocal,
My name is Ryan McNally, myself and my girlfriend (Mandy) of 22 months are both 21. I am a recent graduate of Travel and Tourism in Peterborough, ON and Mandy has five years experience in house cleaning along with the past three years in a supervisor position. We are looking to relocate and settle down in Fernie, BC in order to pursue our passion of outdoor adventure and powder.
We are interested in long-term accommodations to make sure that Fernie is where we want to be prior to investing into personal property.
Our application if you are interested in what I have had to say so far comes hand in hand with a letter of recommendation from my current apartment company which we have resided at for the past 13 months.
If the unit in question is still available more information would be an asset and much appreciated.
Sincerely,

I’m just wondering if this place is still available. Sounds like it’s just what I’m looking for. I know you are looking for a quiet tenant, well I don’t drink AT ALL and I’ll just be working quite a bit. The other thing is I’m interested in getting a small dog, how do you feel about that? Please get back to me. Thank you!

Hi there,
We are a non-smoking, reliable, mature couple (25 year old engineer and graduates) looking to rent a private unit in Fernie for the ski season. We are coming to Fernie on 19th September.
We are very much interested in the apartment. Please can you provide more information, such as where it is and when it is available and how much?
My email is zippyface12@hotmail.com
We look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you,
Jemma and Kurtis

Remember the tax man is watching all of us!!!!

the tax man is watching "W" the most b/c you tried to rent your suite out weekly. Only monthly or longer rentals are allowed in Fernie. Affordable housing is a huge issue…..for locals. Why help tourists find a place to stay when local people have no place to live. Are you new to town "W"?

no I’m not new to town and am aware of the rental shortages in town, however I am not looking to rent long term and quite enjoy having the use of my basment, this is why if I can accomadate the odd person on a short visit I will, if nobody needs a place to stay while there here for the week then thats fine too.. my family and friends have a place to stay when in town.
p.s. just incase you haven’t read the tax laws yourself, long term and seasonal rentals are taxable aswell.
