The Elk Valley Family Society is currently in the process of finalizing a proposal to BC Housing to create 12 additional affordable rental units in Fernie. We are partnering with Parastone Developments, the current owners of the units under the Affordable Home Ownership program to convert these to permanent affordable rental units (as opposed to affordable purchase units) in the community. The market has demonstrated a greater demand for affordable rentals vs. attainable home purchases in the Fernie area so we are interested in obtaining additional community feedback in this respect.
If possible, we are asking for your assistance to complete this short survey to assist our efforts. Our goal is to distribute this survey through a variety of mediums and obtain as much feedback as possible.
