accommodation in december?

I am planning on arriving in fernie this december and staying until the end of the summer season. I know this is arriving later than most for the winter season and am concerned that I will not be able to find anywhere to rent that is still a reasonable price, not too far out the way and with like minded seasonaires. Any info on whether this is going to be possible or not would be great!
