Regardless of the great base we’re enjoying in Fernie this season, the super groomed trails were wearing thin—we all wanted a great powder day. And it came on Tuesday, Fernie’s most consistent powder day and the day of the most memorable snow days in past seasons.

Today’s “Powder Tuesday” wasn’t legendary however 20cms with EVERYTHING open and sunshine was dam nice!

I submitted “Powder Tuesday” definition to Wikipedia to include in their “Tuesday Named Days” section, as follows:

Powder Tuesday is Fernie BC’s most frequent epic powder day.

Unfortunately Wikipedia cut my submission as gave reason as lacking sufficient proof. Proof? Just ask any local or reference the most calculating local powder skiers who all reserve Tuesday for skiing.

If you didn’t enjoy this Powder Tuesday perhaps you will have a snow day or two in the coming days—50cms is heading our way!
