Resorts of the Canadian Rockies have recently released a statement addressing the season ahead.
“We know you might not be there quite yet, but we are. As we start to prepare for ski season we thought we would share some information regarding our upcoming season.
We understand many of you have questions and concerns about how our operations will be running this winter, as do we. Rest assured we are working jointly with the Canada West Ski Area Association as well as our respective provincial government guidelines to ensure we are handling our winter operations in a safe and enjoyable manner. We are in the process of developing comprehensive plans for all aspects of our business, these plans will be made available on our websites once complete.
Since we are living in a fluid, ever changing environment at the moment it’s difficult to lay out exactly what our procedures and guest guidelines will be for this winter, operational changes that are being discussed include (but are not limited to);
– Face coverings will be required at our resorts, starting from your arrival in our parking lots, through the base area and base area facilities, in our lift line ups and while riding our lifts. They are not required while you ski or ride.
– Social distancing measures will be in place in all indoor areas (restaurants, day lodges, rental, retail shops etc.). Team members will be in place to assist you in all locations.
– Unfortunately, we do not believe we can safely offer Daycare this season, as such these facilities will remain closed.
We appreciate the difficulty of making a purchasing decision without all the facts and therefore we are offering a ‘no questions asked’ refund policy on all unused 20.21 season passes.
Our team at RCR is dedicated to providing a safe and enjoyable environment for all our guests and staff. We are excited for the snow to fly and the season to get underway.”
Fernie Alpine Resort’s Tentative Winter Opening Date is December 5th, 2020.
