Thursday’s game against Spokane is a make up game from December 18 when a snow storm hit Spokane and the Braves couldn’t even get out of town, let alone get to Fernie. Spokane is currently in fourth place in the Kootenay Conference of the Neil Murdoch division and are 3-6-1 in their last ten games. The Braves’ Connor Olstad represented his team in the All- Star Game last week and Dylan Tappe, Tyler Mort, Chase Wharton and Mike Smith played in the Prospects Game. The Braves last game was in Beaver Valley where they lost a close one 2-1. A foot note to that game was BV’s 16 year old Zak Majkowski picking up 37 PIM in one stoppage of play. What will he do at 17 ? -photo Karl Weberg-

the Ghostriders play will the Princeton Posse for the second time this season, the first game was played in Princeton September 13 where the Riders won 7-3. The Posse are battling it out with Revelstoke for fifth place in their division but only because they were penalized 7 points earlier in the season for using an ineligible player. There was no malice or chicanery on the Posse’s part, it was just that one of their players wasn’t properly registered and was ruled ineligible. This is an easy thing to have happen as the KIJHL does not double check player cards like they do in other leagues. And Princeton isn’t the only team to make this mistake, Beaver Valley lost 8 points in October for the same thing. Posse Coach Dale Hladun was suspended 8 games for the infraction but should be on the bench Friday. -photo Matt Woiken-
