The Fernie Ghostriders will play the Columbia Valley Rockies in the first round of the playoffs starting this Tuesday in Invermere and returning to Fernie this coming weekend for two games. The young and talented Riders finished the season with a winning record and will be playing exciting hockey in the playoffs!

The Kimberley Dynamiters sealed a first place finish by one point over the Columbia Valley Rockies with a win against Castlegar Saturday night. Kimberley will be play Golden Rockers in the first round.

Game 1: Fernie 2 – Invermere 5, Tuesday 22

Game 2: Fernie 5- Invermere 2, Wednesday 23

Game 3: Fernie 4 – Invermere 3, Friday 25

Game 4: Fernie 2 – Invermere 6, Saturday 26

Game 5: Fernie 0 – Invermere 7, Monday 28

Game 6: Invermere 3 in Fernie 2, March 1

Game 7: Fernie in Invermere March 2 (Not necessary)

Fernie’s top scorers this season were Kort Kisinger, Dayton Nelson and Ethan MacDuff and Scott Sinclair was the top scoring defensive player.

This seasons Rider’s roster has a number of local Fernie players including forwards: Liam Samycia and Owen Johnson, and Defencemen; Hayden Grabas and Nick Mitchell. Come out and cheer on these local players-the series will be fast, hard and emotional.
