Ghostriders Eric Martin

​The Fernie Ghostriders Eric Martin has been honored as the KIJHL’s Top Defenceman. Martin set a new franchise record for points by a defenseman, accumulating 59 points (11 goals and 48 assists) in 43 games. He led all KIJHL defensemen in scoring and maintained a +27 rating, underscoring his two-way capabilities. ​

Forward Taylor Haggerty also had an outstanding season, earning the Eddie Mountain Division’s Most Valuable Player and Top Scorer awards. Haggerty recorded 30 goals and 63 points over 43 games, including eight game-winning goals and 19 power-play points. ​

​The Ghostriders played an impressive 2024-2025 Kootenay International Junior Hockey League (KIJHL) season, finishing second in the Eddie Mountain Division with a record of 28 wins, 10 losses, 4 overtime losses, and 2 shootout losses, totaling 62 points. ​

In the playoffs, the Ghostriders faced the Columbia Valley Rockies in the division semifinals but were eliminated in four games. ​

The organization expresses gratitude to the fans and community for their unwavering support throughout the season and looks forward to building on this year’s successes in the upcoming season.
