On Saturday, December 15, 2007, Fernie Alpine Resort will once again say Thank You to local communities by offering a FREE day of skiing and riding to the residents of Fernie, Elko, Elkford, Jaffray, Sparwood and all residents living in the Elk Valley, as part of the annual Community Appreciation Day.
Fernie Alpine Resort’s Community Appreciation Day aims to recognize local residents for their support of the Resort, as well as celebrate the start of another ski season. “We all enthusiastically look forward to a new season of skiing and riding at Fernie Alpine Resort,” says Matt Mosteller, Senior Director of Business Development. The support of the local community is so important to us, so we love offering this day as a way of saying thank you to local residents, while welcoming the start of another great season with friends and neighbours.
Fernie Alpine Resort is inviting Elk Valley residents who are new to the sports of skiing and snowboarding to enjoy a complimentary Discover ski or snowboard lesson on December 15 as part of the Community Day festivities. The Fernie Alpine Resort Ski and Snowboard School will have twenty ski and twenty snowboard spots available, with lessons taking place between 10:30am – 12:30pm and 1:30pm – 3:30pm.
