The Fernie Snowmobile Association (FSA) has been named British Columbia’s Snowmobile Club of the Year by the BC Snowmobile Federation (BCSF). The prestigious recognition was awarded during the annual BCSF Excellence Awards held in Squamish BC.
Each year, the BCSF honours standout clubs, riders, and industry partners nominated by its nearly 60 member clubs across the province. FSA President Justin Boehm attended the ceremony to accept the award on behalf of the Association and its dedicated team of volunteers.
The FSA received numerous nominations highlighting the club’s exceptional contributions, including:
• Operating one of BC’s most extensive trail grooming programs
• Prioritizing safety and stewardship through ongoing initiatives
• Engaging meaningfully with the community through fundraising and events
• Supporting local and visiting riders through volunteer-driven programs

“This recognition belongs to every volunteer, supporter, and member who has contributed to building something great here in Fernie,” said Boehm. “The FSA is honoured to represent this vibrant community and committed to promoting responsible backcountry access and the camaraderie of snowmobiling.”
The Association expressed gratitude to the BCSF, its fellow clubs throughout British Columbia, and especially its members for their ongoing support.
