This past weekend the Fernie Jr Ghostriders Team 1 won the locally hosted Atom tournament. Teams from Lethbridge, Pincher Creek, Vulcan, Elkford, Cranbrook, Castlegar and the Fernie Jr Ghostriders Team 2 participated in the well organized and hotly contested event.
The Fernie Jr Ghostriders Team 1 dominated from their first game and crushed their fellow Team 2 in the second round, a defeat that Team 2 didn’t recover from.
Team 1 defeated Pincher Creek in the final with a decisive score of nine to one.
Congratulations to the members of Team 1 and their great play in winning the tournament: Alex Johnson, Drayton Desjardins, Carter Loney, Braeden Helgren, Logan Mitchell, AJ Bernemann, Belle Boehm, Jake Lampman, Jullen Stewart, Erik Hurley, Brendan Skead and Dylan Baker.
