Fernie knows how to celebrate Canada Day! This year the event was moved to the Aquatic Centre and in good time, the intense summer heat send hundreds to the splash park and free swim!
The other notable asset was the bike park and trails. Daily events included bike skills development and a cycle cross event staged by the Fernie Flyers.
No Canada Day celebration would be complete without Fernie’s own Shred Kelly. They Won Two Kootenay Music Awards For Album of the Year and Best Live Act and we are proud of them!
And there were all the regular attractions including the Mountain Market, the Kids’ activities, good old boxing, outstanding food truck vendors and a beer gardens.
