At the May 23 regular meeting of City of Fernie council Mayor Mary Giuliano presented chief administrative officer (CAO) Norm McInnis with the Canadian Association of Municipal Administrator’s (CAMA) Long Service Recognition Award.

In a letter to the Mayor, CAMA president Marie Helene Lajoie stated that this program “recognizes and celebrates the dedication to public service and municipal management of members of CAMA which is a significant priority for our Association.”
She went on to say that this award is based on “the number of years of full time, paid employment in municipal government in a management capacity as Chief Administrative Officer or reporting directly to the Chief Administrative Officer. The City of Fernie looks forward to many years of service by this long standing and dedicated member of CAMA and thanks him for his many years of service in helping to make CAMA the leading organization in fostering and sustaining municipal excellence.”
Congratulations CAO Norm McInnis, pictured above with Mayor Mary Giuliano.
