The City of Fernie has released its 2025 Year in Review presentation, providing a snapshot of municipal projects, services, and community engagement delivered over the past year.
The online presentation highlights progress on several major initiatives, including the Fire Hall Replacement Project, the Official Community Plan update, wastewater system maintenance and planning, housing and childcare partnerships, and completed capital infrastructure projects. It also outlines the scale of day-to-day municipal operations, community grants and event support, public engagement activity, and behind-the-scenes modernization work.
According to the presentation, 2025 saw advancement on long-term planning efforts, increased public engagement through Let’s Talk Fernie, and continued investment in infrastructure aimed at improving safety, service delivery, and operational efficiency heading into 2026.
