I’ve always thought the perfect Christmas gift was loads of powder and most years that’s a reality here in Fernie. Well this year the snow less than great and there is nothing favourable in the forecast. (the promoters have told a different story) So this holiday I’m spending more time with family and friends and experiencing a great deal about the meaning of Christmas. Having said that, I do know that the powder will come and my children will be in school and I’ll get to play in my powder paradise!
When the snow is not great there are lots of other activities to enjoy with your family and friends. Yesterday I visited Silver Springs for a skate and game of shinny and there are many ponds in Fernie that are great for skating this time of year. Ice fishing is a another great Canadian classic activity to enjoy on a frozen pond. Whatever your adventure, include your family and friends and enjoy the true meaning of Christmas! The snow will be here another day.
