Today is National Relaxation Day, a holiday for Canadians to slow down and take a break from daily stresses.
According to Statistics Canada, 3.7 million Canadian workers are stressed out.
Many places nationwide would agree this is a much needed break, however, in Fernie this would just seem like any other day. In a town where relaxation is seen as the ultimate attainment of wealth, a holiday to “take it easy” is perhaps redundant.
Yet, it is a fantastic reminder of just how lucky we are to enjoy the recreational activities Fernie has to offer. Fernie is a great example of the benefits of working to live rather than living to work. Here’s to a stressless 364 more days of the year!
