As part of the Artsy Fartsy Sunday Social brought you by the Chamber of Commerce and, of course, yours truly, we are challenging all the adults in town to a sidewalk chalk art competition! The idea is to get our talented local artists involved to create sidewalk drawings which will line 2nd avenue from Bean Pod to The Brickhouse. The best part is we supply the chalk!
Sunday Socials run from 1pm to 4pm but we understand some will want more time to work on their drawings so prep time will definitely be available.
As with all competitions, it wouldn’t be as exciting if there wasn’t a prize up for grabs! Although the prizes have yet to be determined, we do know judging will begin at 3pm so all contestants are encouraged to have their chalk creations completed with time to spare for those “just in case” situations. Winners will then be announced at 3:30 and prizes will be distributed accordingly.
We are also offering location incentives for anyone with an idea or theme suited for a particular establishment downtown.
