The Fernie Flying Viking Challenge is a special end-of-season event that spreads from Elk Valley Nordic Centre to Fernie Alpine Resort and back again.

The Flying Viking is an annual cross country ski race with 25km & 50km options for skate or classic skis, including a chair lift ride! Plus short mini options for newer vikings!

Looking for a challenge? This is the one, a long one but very casual – unless you don’t want it to be casual, and then by all means attack the course like Ragnar Lothbrok fueled up on mead! A ride on the Deer chair is included!
